    Patrick Murphy Bailey, Sr., was one of the builders of Glencoe Methodist Church. His 80 acre farm was located just a few miles west of the church in Rockingham County. Murphy and his first wife, Mary Lillian Barham, had 7 children, 3 boys and 4 girls. He and his second wife, Lula Ozelle Foster, had one son.
