John "Jack" O. Danson, 82, of Gurnee, passed away October 9, 2000 at St. Luke's Milwaukee.
    Born June 5, 1918 in Cline, Texas. John retired from Commonwealth Edison in 1982 after 40 years of service as superintendent of generating stations-maintenance. He was a member of the American Assoc. of Mechanical Engineers. He loved model trains and loved working at home on his computer. To his family he was known as "Mr. Fix It".
    Survived by his wife of 59 years, Catherine; 6 children, Grace (Joe Krell) Pagliuco, John W. (Sue) Danson, Jean (John) Kensy, Kay (Robert) Andersen, Robert (Linda) Danson, Edward (Cindy) Danson; 10 grandchildren, Cathy, Chris, Kurt, Barry, Nancy, Ryan, Zach, Robert Tyler, Katie Rae, Eric; 2 great grandchildren, Tina Marie and Steven. He was preceded by 2 brothers, Robert and Harry.
    Funeral services will be held at 10AM, Saturday, October 14, 2000 at the MARSH FUNERAL HOME OF GURNEE, 305 Cemetery Rd. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery, Chicago, IL. Visitation 4-8PM, Thursday and Friday at the Funeral Home. Memorials to Crystal Cathedral, Garden Grove, Calif. or St. Lukes Medical Center-Heart Fund, P.O. 2901, Milwaukee, WI 53201-9715
