P. "Pete" H. , 77, Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday morning, May 12, 2010.
He was born October 20, 1932 in Mt. Vernon, KY to A.J. and Martha Jaine (Hibbard) Meece. He married his wife, Gloria June, on October 18, 1958 in Kentucky. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2003. Survivors include two daughters, Ronda K. (Dewayne) Van Winkle of Fairland and Ginger A. (Randy) Young of Greenfield; two sons, Larry E. (Connie) Meece of St. Paul and Mitchell Ray Meece of Fairland; two brothers, Ted (Cartha) Meece and Jesse (Mary) Meece; four sisters, Lucy Murphy, Kathy Thompson, Julie (Gene) Van Hook, and Bonnie (James) Brummett; eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
He was a national sales representative for 25 years for General Switch, retiring in December 1990.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of Acton Baptist Church.
Visitation will take place from 4-8PM, Friday, May 14, at Wilson St.Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Stirling-Gerber Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis. Rev. Bobby Jewell will officiate a funeral service at 1PM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Acton Cemetery.
