Charles lost his wife Ozinee as she passed in 1824 and was buried in the northern corner of his homestead property.

In early 1825, Charles donated that northern corner of his property to the community for a common burial ground. This area would later become Boston Centre Cemetery and then Maplewood Cemetery in August 1905.

Gravesite Details

In 1917 the decedents of the Johnson Family erected a Family Memorial at the foot of the site where Ozinee is buried. No gravestone for Ozinee is currently there.
