Strubberg Rites Held Saturday - A.H. (Sam) Strubberg, 505 West Eighth street, died at the St. Francis hospital Thursday, September 17. He was 59 years old. Mr. Strubberg is survived by his wife, Leona (nee Siess); a daughter, Mary Frances of Kirkwood; a brother, Ray Strubberg, Washington; two sisters-in -law; two brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 19, at 8:30 a.m., from the Otto and Company Chapel, and at 9 a.m., at St. Francis Borgia church. Interment was in the church cemetery. The Parish Rosary was recited at the Otto and Company Chapel Friday at 8 p.m.

A.H. (Sam) Strubberg - A.H. Sam Strubberg was called to his eternal reward Thursday, September 17, at St. Francis hospital, having been in ill health for some time. He had attained the age of 59 years, 7 months and 14 days. Mr. Strubberg was born in Dutzow, Mo., January 26, 1905, the son of the late Frank and Mary Strubberg, nee Regenbogen. He received his early education in Dutzow. Later he moved to Washington, where he made his permanent home. For a number of years Mr. Strubberg operated a bakery in Washington. He was united in marriage to Leona Siess on June 24, 1930. This union was blessed with one daughter. Surviving his departure are his deeply bereaved wife, Leona, and their daughter, Mary Frances of Kirkwood. He is also survived by one brother, Ray of Washington, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Funeral services for Mr. Strubberg were held Saturday, September 19, at 8:45 a.m. from the Otto & Co. chapel and at 9 o'clock in the St. Francis Borgia church. Interment was made in the church cemetery.

LAST RITES FOR WASHINGTON BAKER - Funeral services were held Saturday, September 19, for A.H. (Same [Sam]) Strubberg, who passed way in his 60th year at the St. Francis Hospital on Thursday, September 17. Morning services were held at 8:30 from the Otto and Company Chapel, and at 9 o'clock at the St. Francis Borgia church. Many people from the area remember Sam Strubberg for his fine pastries. He was a well-known baker in Washington. Surviving are his wife, Leona (nee Siess); a daughter, Mary Frances of Kirkwood; a brother, Ray Strubberg, Washington; two sister-in-law; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. The Parish Rosary was recited at the Otto Chapel Friday at 8 p.m. Interment was in the church cemetery.
