Elmore Parker, of Cedar Creek Township, Expires After Brief Illness
Elmore W Parker, a well known Allen county farmer, died at 2:20 o’clock this morning at his home in Cedar Creek township, some miles north of Fort Wayne, and two miles west of Cedarville. Mr Parker was 58 years of age and death was due to pneumonia. He had been ill but one week.
Mr Parker was born and reared in the township in which he died, and had always been among the leading citizens of the township. Surviving are the widow and seven children-the Misses Rinda, Elizabeth, Rena and Maude, and Jacob, Frank and Christian Parker, all residing at the family home. Mrs Elizabeth Parker, the aged mother, also survives. Frank Joly of this city is a brother-in-law and Tora Connelly is a niece. Brothers and sisters are Christian Parker, Miller Parker, Washington Parker, Mrs James Ayers and Mrs Hulda McGuire, all of Noble county.
Mr Parker was a member of St Joe chapel ME church, and the funeral services will be held there at a time to be announced later. The interment will occur at the Parker cemetery near Cedar Creek. The Fort Wayne Sentinel - March 14, 1903
