Oma Jane was the only girl born to Grant Goins and his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Rains. She loved church work and sung and played a banjo in the church she loved, Siler Chapel Church of God at Verne, KY. She loved to work in the garden and grow flowers. She and her husband Alonzo Siler, raised 4 boys and 4 girls with one child dying at birth. Obituary: Oma Jane Siler, 75, Verne, died Saturday (11-3-1984) at her home. She was the oldest member of Siler Chapel Church of God for over 55 years. Survivors include four daughters: Priscilla Faulkner, Corbin, Opal Ruth Siler, Detroit, MI., Loretta Potter and Josephine Siler both of Williamsburg; four sons: Dewey Wilbur Siler, Cincinnati, Grant Siler, Roy Alonzo Siler and Willie Siler of Williamsburg; four brothers: Rev. Henry Goins and Rev. William Goins, Williamsburg, Rev. Charlie Goins, Akron OH and Rev. Granville Goins, Indianapolis, IN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services is set for 10 am Tuesday at the Siler Chapel Church of God with Rev. James Loudermilk and Rev. James Burke officiating. Burial will be in the Siler Cemetery at Verne. Pallbearers will be Raymond Marsee, Kenneth Rains, Wesley Meadors, Ronnie Rains, Elbert Monhollen, Jr., Johnny Rains, Michael Monhollen and Clifford West. Visitation is after 2 pm Monday at the funeral home.
