Revs. J. W. Hammer and R. T. Newton were in charge of the service held from Madam Russell Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Burial was in Round Hill Cemetery, Marion.
Surviving are three nephews, C. D. Shannon and George Shannon, both of Saltville, and R. T. Newton of Rocky Gap, and one niece, Mrs. G. T. Lee of Roanoke.
