Funeral for Glen Beamis, 79, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park.
Mr. Beamis, who was born in Shoshone County, Idaho, died Tuesday. He grew up in the Fourth of July Canyon and attended Canyon schools near Rose Lake, Idaho.
He joined the Army and served in the South Pacific during World War II as an equipment operator.
After the war he worked in the mining and logging industries in the Silver Valley near Kellogg.
He married Elvera Nelson in 1959.
He had lived in Spokane for 55 years and worked at Fairchild Air Force Base and at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah, with the civil service until retiring in 1960.
He attended Open Bible Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Delmar Beamis of Kingston, Idaho; and a sister, Lois Bachmier of Smelterville, Idaho.
