Frank Wight, eighty-seven, pioneer Nebraskan, died at a hospital in Ogallala on Wednesday, Mar 14, 1939, of heart complications that followed a fractured hip in a fall at his home near Lemoyne two weeks ago.
He settled on a quarter section of land with his wife near Belvidere in Thayer county in 1874. He owned and operated a meat market in Geneva from 1890 until 1909, when he moved to a farm near Ogallala.
His widow, eighty-five is seriously ill. One son, H. A. Wight, lives at Ong.
Harry Wight of Ong was in Geneva yesterday morning arranging with Frank Hrubesky for the burial of his father in the Geneva cemetery. A short service will be held at the cemetery about 5 o'clock Friday afternoon.
