She was the daughter of Nathaniel and Mary(Thomson) Dickerson. She married in Louisa county, Virginia to Samuel Parris Jr.

In 1773 they moved to Guilford county, NC. When Rockingham county was formed their land was in the new county.

After her husbands death in 1791, the land on Great Troublesome Creek was sold. She moved with her sons to Spartanburg County, South Carolina. She is assumed to be the older lady who was in the home of son, Nathaniel on the 1800 census. She died before 1810.

She was the mother of eight known children;
