Thomas Hiram Akeley, sixth child of Hiram and Mary Akeley, was born June 30, 1897. He married (1) Ellen Eckholm (b. Sept. 6, 1893 d. Mar. 13, 1933) on May 26, 1926. To them were born two children: David Hiram and Infant (boy).
Then on Apr. 7, 1938 Thomas and Mrs. Esther (Hollabaugh) Dunn (b. Mar. 18, 1895 d. June 12, 1970) were married. She had one daughter, Nettie, whom Tom raised. Thomas Akeley died Apr. 30, 1893
