"Lew" Young was a bell caster for the B&O railroad at Mt. Clare Station in Baltimore City. He married Martha Irene Dill and they had four boys: John Lewis (see memorial in the Philippines), Nelson, Howard and George. The first three boys served in WW2 except for George, who served in Korea.
From Baltimore, the family moved to Elkridge in 1930, where George was born. They lived in various homes along what was known as School House Lane and then Railroad Avenue.
Lew lived to age 61.
