Dwayne "Dee" Lee Miller, 78, Pleasant Valley, Missouri, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, Missouri.
Dee and his twin brother, Wayne, were born Dec. 16, 1932 to George Kenneth "Kack" and Virgie May (Cain) Miller in Coyville, Kansas.
Dee married Carol June Shoaf on Feb. 17, 1956. She preceded him in death.
Dee married Janice Adams Miller on Nov. 2, 1996.
He served in the United States Air Force, 1953-1956.
He retired from Delta Airlines after 30 years.
He was a member of the Towerview Baptist Church in Kansas City.
Dee is survived by his wife, Janice, of the home; his daughter, Marina Barker, of Claycomo, MO; one stepdaughter, Kelli White; six stepsons, Michael Scott, Mark Scott, Patrick Scott, Stephen Scott, Aaron Scott, and Anthony Scott; 11 grandchildren; brothers, his twin, Wayne D. Miller, of Fredonia, KS, Earl L. Miller, of Benedict, KS, and Charles Robert Miller, of Claremore, OK; and one sister, Arline (Miller) Guenther, of Benedict, KS.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, DeEtta; and grandchildren, Molly and Joseph.
Graveside service will be Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Coyville Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at the Towerview Baptist Church, 7301 NE 50th St, Kansas City, MO.
