Keith Gillespie, 61, of 748 South Line Street Ext., Greer, South Carolina, passed away August 15, 2011 at his home.
A native of Greenville County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Roy Holder and Helen (Powell) Gillespie.
He was a Retired U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran with a Purple Heart, and of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Frances (Barbare) Gillespie; an adopted daughter, Bailey Frasier; three brothers, Randall Gillespie (Barb) of Albuquerque, NM, Robert Gillespie of Greer, SC, and Terry Gillespie (Kyong) of Seoul, South Korea; and four sisters, Ann Henderson of Greenville, SC, Nancy Dill (Melton) of Lyman, SC, Dorothy Starrett (Terry) of Laurens, SC, and Frances Gillespie of Baltimore, MD.
Mr. Gillespie was predeceased by a brother, Paul Gillespie.
Funeral services were August 17, 2011 at Wood Mortuary conducted by Chaplain Tony Kobukowski.
Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with military rites. Honorary escort was the Patriot Guard.
