Babbette Kent White Baldwin, 92 of Nampa went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Her passing took place at Sunnyridge Retirement Center in Nampa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 19 at the Kuna United Methodist Church, 260 W. 4th St in Kuna. Burial will follow at Kuna Cemetery. Arrangements are being provided by the Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300
Babbette was born June 18, 1919, to William Warren and Bertha May (Schmit) Kent in Wardboro, Idaho (Bear Lake). Her family moved to Meridian, Idaho and moved several times. She attended Nampa and Meridian Schools. In later years she got her G.E.D. On September 8, 1935, she married Joseph Elwin White. They had two daughters, Charlene Wakefield and Jewel "Judy" Lowe (deceased). Mom enjoyed being a wife and mother for many years. She worked and helped Dad in the White's Sales and Service Auto Shop in Kuna. She also worked at J. R. Simplot and in the Kuna School Lunch Program. She worked on the Election Board and served on the Kuna Cemetery Board. She loved to travel and visited every state but two and spent six weeks traveling in Europe. Babbette was a member of the Kuna United Methodist Church, the Senior Citizens of Kuna and Good Sams. Her husband, Joseph passed away January 31, 1979, and on August 12, 1987, she married Paul Baldwin in Winnemucca, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her husbands and daughter "Judy".
She leaves behind daughter Charlene (Geo. Wayne) Wakefield of Melba, two step children, Joe (Judy) Baldwin of Meridian and Carolyn (Allen) Solomon of Huston, Texas, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions may be made to the Kuna Rural Fire Dept thru the City of Kuna, 763 W. Avalon, P.O. Box 13, Kuna, ID 83634.
