She was of the Baptist faith, and preceded in death by her husband, Robert Erwin; and infant son. She was a long-time republican and member of many republican clubs. She was retired from the Knox County Sheriff's Department where she worked as a clerk.
Survivors: brother and sister-in-law, Charles D. and Carol Mayes of Dayton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
The family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service and interment at 11:00 a.m.
