Son of Joshua and Puah Ellen Thomas Brooks.

Married to Flora Alice Green,daughter of James and Mary "Polly" Love Green in Big Lick,Stanly County, North Carolina on 3 Aug 1890.

According to The Brooks Bridge of History Book page 54,they had Three infants die and Two reached adulthood.

His middle name in the same book said his name was Wyatt,BUT in the 1910 census his name was Washington.
His name was spelled Walter in the 1920 census,or it could have spelled Watts,That is what is on the tombstone.

The middle names you have listed for Edmond Brooks are not correct. His middle name was "Watt" and this was what he went by. My mother used to tell stories of Uncle Watt and how his belt, hanging on the back of the door, would hang to the floor (he was a substatial man). I think the census entries are mistakes.

I will assume that since you are a Brooks we are related. I am descended from Carrie Brooks James (Watt's sister).

I have a good photograph of Watt and of his family. I will try and get them posted when I can dig them out of storage. I believe they are labeled with Watt's name on the back. I even have a few other Brooks' pictures.
