Paul Womer Miles of St. James, passed from this life on June 25, 2017, at the age of 79 years. He was born on December 30, 1937, to Paul Russell Miles and Edna “Gates” Miles.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Erma “Bates” Miles, a daughter, Judy Lewis “Sharp”, a grandson, Christopher Lewis, two brothers, George and Earney Miles, and a sister, Mabel Borden.
He is survived by three sons, Robert Sharp (Bernice) of Newburg, David McPeak (Mary) of Rolla, and Len Miles (Trish) of Rolla, nine grandchildren, Melissa, Paula, Theresa, Bobby, Shelley, Laura, Jeff, Jennifer, and Daniel. Also, twenty-five great grandchildren, and fourteen great great grandchildren.
Paul’s first love was the Bible. He loved listening to gospel music, witnessing to others and sharing his testimonies. He financed many youth ministries and supported all ministerial activities. Paul was a dedicated Christian and very active in prayer. He was a member of the Rolla First Assembly of God. He also enjoyed to play pool and bingo with his fellow veterans. Paul will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the “Kid Care America Program” at First Assembly of God.
Services for Paul Womer Miles will be held at First Assembly of God (1608 N Oak St, Rolla, MO). The visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2017, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Funeral will be Friday, June 30, 2017, at 10:00 am. All arrangements were made under the direction of the Teague and Sons Funeral Home.
