L.C. Craig Jr., 60, died Friday, Oct. 5.
Born in Converse, La., Mr. Craig had lived in Spearman 33 years, moving from Mansfield, La.. He married Millie Barrett in 1948 at Converse, La.. He was a tool pusher for Leonard Hudson Drilling Co. for 20 years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of Hansford Lodge No. 1040 AF&AM and of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, L.C. "Pip" Craig III of Spearman; five daughters, Cheryl Tennison of San Antonio, Angela Looten of Groom, and Deborah Crouch, Judy Collins and Sharon Wilson, all of Amarillo; his mother, Bertha Craig of Mansfield, La.; and a sister, Marie Griffith of Shreveport, La..
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Oct. 9 in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Russ Gibbs, pastor, and the Rev. Andy Hurst, pastor of Christ United Methodist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Interment was in Hansford Cemetery.
The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association.
