Born Clarence Burton Wright, after his uncle George Burton, in 1937 when drivers license were first issued in Oklahoma, not liking the name Clarence and with no verification required, he renamed himself Bert Lee Wright. Bert was obvious but when ask why Lee he said he just liked the name. His older brother was Shady Lee Wright, maybe that's why.
