CLAYTON, Ga. -- James Lloyd Tyler, 86, of Tomahawk Lane, Tiger died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at Toccoa Nursing Center in Toccoa.

Born in Otto, N.C., he had lived most of his life in Rabun County. He was a farmer and was a member of Boggs Mountain Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are sons, Jeff Tyler of Tiger and Tom Tyler of Clayton; daughters, Frances Green and Teresa Moore, both of Rabun Gap, Edith Ramey of Demorest, Carolyn Denton of Cornelia and Terry Tyler of Baldwin; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

He was the widower of Savannah Moore Tyler and the daughter of the late Robert B. and Minnie Key Tyler.

Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home by the Rev. John Gipson and Layman Lloyd Hunter; burial will be in the Wolf Creek Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday.

The family is at the home of his son, Jeff Tyler on Tomahawk Lane, Tiger.
