Funeral Service for Mr. Adron "Biggan" Brewer, 88, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church. Rev. John Hill will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Flint Hill United Methodist Church.
Mr. Brewer passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19, 2017. He was born on August 24, 1928 in Alexander City, Alabama to George Herbert Brewer and Bammy Mae Brewer.
He was an active member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church, where he was very involved in the Fellowship Sunday School class. Mr. Brewer was a very Godly, loving and caring family man. He was employed by Russell Mills for 30 years and was active even after retirement with Meals on Wheels and the Alexander City recycling center. He enjoyed watching all sports, but Auburn football and the Atlanta Braves were his favorites.
He is survived by his grandson; two great grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Christine Brewer; son, Reggie Brewer; parents and brother, Aaron Brewer.
