Inscription
Sacred
to the memory of
Mary Caroline Steer
The wife of
John Gee Steer
who departed this life
12th September 1860
Aged 28 years
Corruption, earth and worms
Shall but refine this flesh
Till my triumphant spirit comes
To put it on afresh
