Gerald Marvin Wigren was the son of Gust A. and Mabel A. Lawson Wigren. He was born in Jamestown, New York and lived there all of his life. He had one brother, William (Sally) Wigren, and a sister, Phyllis Wigren Johnson. He married Helen M. Richardson on September 27, 1933 and they were the parents of one daughter, Beverly Ann. He was employed at Jamestown Veneer and Plywood Corporation for 38 years until his retirement in 1962. He died at Jamestown General Hospital after a long illness and was buried in Busti Cemetery.
