Last rites for Mrs. Aaron (Clara B.) Hein, 64, were held at Holy Cross Lutheran church, Davenport April 6 with burial in Davenport Memorial Park cemetery. Mrs. Hein died at St. Luke's hospital, Davenport April 3.


The daughter of William and Bertha Heick, she was born in Cedar county July 27, 1920. She was married to Aaron Hein at Tipton Feb. 25, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1984.


She had been employed by Tupperware.


Mrs. Hein was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran church where she was Sunday school secretary for 34 years. She was an officer of the church, the Ladies Aid and Altruistic Guild, a member of the church choir, a charter member of the LWML and zone officer and district news letter editor. She also served as branch secretary and treasurer of the Aid Association for Lutherans for 33 years.


She was a member of the Quad-City Symphony Senior board of directors and past officer of the auxiliary. She was registered parliamentarian and past officer of the Parker Parliamentary Law club, secretary of the Scott County Republican party and a party committee woman. She also held Parent Teacher association offices at city, county and state levels and was involved in Dad's club teams for 10 years.


She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. David (Julie) Scott, Davenport and Mrs. Gary (Joline) Hoffman, East Moline, Ill.; a son, Aaron H. Hein Jr., Cedar Rapids; 5 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Edwin (Edna) Hartwig, Lowden and Mrs. Bernal (Eloise) Shontz, Tipton and a brother, Harold Heick, Iowa City.
