Martin Dean Childress was the 8th child and youngest son of John Henry and Shirley Jane (Gibson) Childress. He was born in Pruden, Tennessee and moved with his family to Ohio when he was under 10 years old. He grew up in Marion Ohio. He attended Marion Harding High School in the Class of 1962. Dean married Mary Alice Wicker and they had one son, Troy Childress. Dean was an affectionate man, with a great sense of humor. The kind that would have everyone rolling on the floor laughing at the slightest word. He loved his family and had a strong sense of family. He played with his son and nieces and nephews and was loved by them all. He took time with us. We will never forget him.
