Gerald Allan Haas is the son of George Raymond "Ray" Haas and Alma Ann Jones Haas.

According to his WWII Draft Registration he was born in Hamar, Benson, North Dakota. Hamar is not a ghost town, located in Eddy County, not far from Tolna, about a half hour southeast of Devils Lake. Present day population is 6 and the original school house, post office and other buildings are still standing.


Gerald married Rita Ann Penn 11 Jun 1955 at Harding, Harding County, SD.
