Bio
I was born and raised in Oklahoma and have returned there in retirement. I have a B.S. in Business and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering. I spent a lifetime in Federal service, first in the Air Force as a commissioned officer, retiring as a Colonel, as subsequently as a member of the Senior Executive Corps at the Pentagon.
I have been actively involved in genealogy since childhood, and have continued that interest to the present time. I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a descendent of a Mayflower Pilgrim. I continue to work tenaciously on my own lines, always searching for some piece of information that I might not have, plus as a matter of courtesy, I have traced lines for hundreds of friends and acquaintenances, and I have worked with large numbers of military veterans to help preserve their history.
I strongly advocate the pursuit of family history for all people. We are the product of our ancestors, and therefore, I believe that it is important that we each preserve and share the unique story of our family. We can only fully understand who we are if we also understand from whom and from where we came.
The majority of my memorials are family members, and as the family historian, I would like to keep those. For the remainder, I generally follow the Find-A-Grave guidelines regarding the transfer of memorials, with some exceptions. Use the "Suggest a Correction" feature on the appropriate memorial to submit information or requests.
