I am retired and live in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2004, following my retirement, I developed an interest in genealogy and began researching the following family names: Cain, Hart, Kleiver (or Kliewer), Clever, Rinard, Stutsman (or Stutzman), Cripe, Replogle, Tihart (or Tiahrt), Pauls/Powell, Stevens (or Stephens), Isaacs, McKinney, and Hutt. I became a contributor to Find-a-Grave in 2007.

My father was Conley Cain and my mother was Ruby Elizabeth "Ann" (Kleiver) Cain. My father's parents were Beauford Cain and Mary Jane Stevens, both originally of Irvine, Kentucky, then of New Mexico. Beauford's parents were James McKinney Cain and Sarah Margaret Kelly. Mary Jane's parents were Vinson W. Stevens and Sarah D. Lynch of Kentucky. Beauford's gggrandparents were John Cain (born about 1780) and Susannah McKinney, both of Virginia, then of Kentucky. DNA evidence indicates that the Cain family originated in County Clare, Ireland.

My mother's parents were Peter Kleiver (formerly Kliewer and Clever) of Prussia (present-day Poland), and Rose May Hart of Williamston, Michigan. Rose's father was Samuel Hart of Bottisham Lode, Cambridgeshire, England, and her mother was Esther Ann Rinard of Elkhart, Indiana. Esther's father was Benjamin Franklin Rinard and her mother was Catharine Stutsman. Catharine's parents were John Stutsman and Esther Cripe and her maternal grandparents were Daniel Cripe and Barbara Lovina Replogle. Samuel's grandfather was Matthew Hart (born 1763) and Avis Mott (born 1765), both of Bottisham Lode, Cambridgeshire, England. Peter's parents were John Klever (originally Johann Kliewer) and Anna Tiahrt both of Prussia. Anna was the daughter of Peter Tiahrt (born about 1806 in Prussia) and the sister of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Tiahrt Powell (Pauls) and Peter Tiahrt (born 1827 in Prussia, died 1892 in South Dakota).
