I am Paul Rentz, son of Clifford Leslie Rentz of East Detroit, Michigan (now Eastpointe). Clifford was son of John Raymond Rentz of Detroit and Irene Sanders Rentz. Clifford's brother was Walter.
My mother was Marjorie Eileen LeSuer Rentz. Her ancestors included LeSuer, Wise, Perry, Jenkins, Perkins. The Perry line I've traced to Edmund and Sara Perry who settled in Sandwich, MA in 1637. We visited their son and daughter-in-law's headstones in Oct. 2010 at the Old Town Cemetery in Sandwich, MA on Grove St.
I married Loring Dowd, of Huntington, LI, NY. We met at Nyack College, NY and then moved to Oregon in 1979.
Ancestors- Jacob Rentz came to America in Oct., 1805 on the Fair American- to Philadelphia. On the Rentz side were the Heims, of Blooming Grove, PA and going back to Eberlin Haim, born 1490, from Walddorf, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
On my mother's side were LeSuer, Perry, Wise, Jenkins- Perry from the line of Edmond and Sara Perry who came to America in 1637. Their son, Ezra married Elizabeth Burgess, daughter of Thomas and Dorothy Burgess who came to America in 1630.
