Hi, my name is Karen (Salsman) Martin. In addition to being a member of Findagrave, I also belong to Ancestry. I have a Master's in Education and, after a two year stay in Kentucky, you could say I returned to my "Roots" My Salsman side came from Grayson county, KY. After living in Ohio for 13 years with a plan to retire there, those plans were not to be. Unfortunately, there has been a change of plans, since l wrote this. First, we lost our youngest daughter in 2020 to Sudden Lethal cardiac arrest brought on by Pro-Long QT which is a Genetic condition that I also suffer from. She was laid to rest in Missouri, our home state. It was actually at that time we decided we were selling our home and moving back to Missouri, we could not live in this house where we lost our daughter. While making repairs --- fast forward to April 22nd, 2024 my husband decided to lay down for a nap before dinner and didn't wake up. We would have been married for 49 years on May 24th, 2024. The love of my life was laid to rest in Missouri also. We have vacated the house in Ohio. I am in Missouri now, the Columbia area. I am subbing for Moberly schools so I do frequent that area also. I am writing a family history book and enjoy stamp collecting and scrap-booking. I am also a rock hound and enjoy the outdoors. I have 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and 2 on the way. I am still hoping to connect with my Kentucky cousins (Salsman, Saltsman, Saltsman, and many more). Who knows maybe I will find some Ohio cousins too.
