I'm a seventh-generation Texan who's been doing genealogy for over forty years. Findagrave is one of my favorite genealogy sites.

I would like to ask members NOT TO ADD death certificates to memorials. Despite records being public, often times, if a person died from suicide or murder for example, their descendants do not want this information on their memorials. It is still a painful reminder of their loved one's death. Please be considerate. Thank you.

Also, I've unlinked family members who do not wish their loved ones to be linked to estranged parents, etc. I try to be mindful of living descendant wishes.
