A US Veteran is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount up to and including his or her life. That commitment is the embodiment of true Honor. Sadly there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand that concept. 

Do not waste your time asking me to remove military rank from memorials... It's not going to happen... GFY...

Transfers

I know the disappointment of being denied an ancestral transfer request by someone unrelated to the memorial. We know the stories, we have the photos, we have the connection, we have the info, but yet we are denied the request. Find-a-grave guidelines are just that... guidelines

I will transfer memorials of which I am not related, to family members of the memorial, regardless of where they fall in the family tree. On occasion, I will also transfer these memorials to friends of the person memorialized. This is what's best for the memorial.

As far as my personal family memorials are concerned, I will of course transfer if you are a closer descendant than myself..
