Interior Designer born and raised in Tampa, Florida, retired to the "Disney built Town" of Celebration, Florida. Needless to say, we love everything Disney.
PATERNAL 6th Generation Granddaughter of the Humphreys and Geralds families (Pioneer families of Darien and near by Savannah, Georgia) prior to their relocation and marriage in 1825 in the newly formed Pike County, Ga. By all accounts my last Humphreys and Gerald's were still Land owners in Darien, McIntosh County, Georgia until the late 1840's.
In 1850 the next generation of Humphreys united with the Gunn family, with the union of Lewis Humphreys and Sarah Gunn. Both Humphreys generations relocated one final time in 1855 to Thomasville in Thomas County, Ga. There in 1895 the 4th Humphreys/Gunn generation son Robert married Mollie Treadwell, originally from Sampson Co., N.C. Numerous tragedies struck these two families after their move to Thomas County. Including the Civil War in 1861 followed by several family deaths and tragic murders, among the Gunn brothers as well as the murder of my great grandfather Robert E. Humphreys in 1910 in Brooks County. His death ended the era of my Humphreys and Treadwell's in Georgia. Widow Mollie Treadwell-Humphreys remarried in 1912 and moved to Polk County, Florida. Here in 1923 the 7th generation of Humphreys began with the birth of my father, Robert H. Humphreys.
