I started looking for answers on my Ancestry and trying to find where they were, where they lived and where they were buried and like everyone else there were alot of blanks and brick walls. My family didn't talk about things that they didn't want to share or have anyone else know about, they were private people.
Then I started looking for my husband's family and that was worse than mine because he was adopted. Through friends, family and distant family we knew nothing about I now have all his information and He has as many family members as I do, although he refuses to let me have my family back!
Alot of our problems stem from the female sides of the different families. The women were born with Maiden names and didn't use their husbands last names until they got married!
I continue to connect the dots and add more family. People are amazing and so willing to share what they know about families, places and events.
