Someone has posted photos of chalked gravestones on memorials that I manage. Those are not my photos. I do not vandalize cemeteries.

We became interested in FindAGrave the first time I got cancer. There are cemeteries everywhere ; near my house and near the hospital. Taking gravestone photos gets us outside and can be done a few at a time, as health and weather permit. Thank you to the people who choose gravestone benches!

Please remember that we are all volunteers, not professional photographers.If you have a photo request that has not been filled for a long time, look at the cemetery description. Maybe your request can't be filled. One cemetery near here has been turned into a public park and all the gravestones have been removed so there is nothing to take a picture of. The county home/poor house cemetery has tiny grave markers with no names or dates on them so requests for "clear photos of the dates" or "all the family gravestones" are totally impossible to fill. And, Sweet Mother of Pearl, if there is already a photo on the memorial, use the note area to tell the volunteer why a new picture is needed.

If you want photos of two or three different gravestones, please submit requests for each gravestone, don't just add them in a note. If only the main request is filled, the others will automatically get deleted.

If you are looking to have a date or bio changed on a memorial, please the "Suggest Edit" button, DO NOT put your edits in a photo request. You'd be surprised how many people do this! The photo volunteer and the memorial manager are often two different people.
