I joined Find a Grave in 2008. I use it to locate burials, create memorials, link family members, connect with relatives, and remember those who have passed on, especially veterans. It had about 25 million memorials when I first started. Today, as I write this, it has more than 265 million.

Recently, I've been editing memorial pages and requesting headstone photos for the surname Kenyon and also variant spellings (notably Kenion, Kinion, Kinyon, Kinyoun, and Kennion) for males in the United States, Engand, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Greece, Israel, Gibraltar, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Netherlands, Malta, Pakistan, Singapore, Sudan, Tunisia, Turkey, and New Zealand.

Many who served in WWI and WWII died and were buried in foreign countries. Yet many of them had parents in the United Kingdom. Headstones often provide additional information, including birth dates and family. This helps family researchers connect these soldiers to their family members. I encourage Kenyon males to take a Y-DNA test at FamilyTreeDNA. This helps to identify Kenyon lineages worldwide.
