There is always a way to contact creators who have their messages turned off. All you need to do is send a message through one of their memorials. It's just as easy to do that as it is to send a message any other way. A lot of creators have turned their messages off due to the nastiness of others. Kindness goes a long way, something this world seems to have forgotten.

I have charge of the official burial records for McDonough Village Union Cemetery. I am updating memorials for MVUC as of August 2026. I have finally finished the book on the interments in MVUC, and it will be available soon. Please be patient as I will get them all up to date and corrected as soon as I possibly can.

For veterans memorials: Please be aware, at least in the U.S., that when sending an edit for a veteran, naming conventions are as follows:

You can only use a military title if you meet one of the following parameters:

1. Passed away in combat while serving their country

2.Retired after 20 or more years of military service

3.Passed away while active in the military

A Draft Registration card does not mean someone served in the service.

I add photos if I took them or have permission from the person who did. I add obits and death announcements and add where they were originally published and the date they were published if it was before 1925. I do not list the names of living family members unless I have their permission (per FG guidelines) and will not accept edits that list the names of living family members. Yes, they can be found online, but I will not add them here. I add familial links if I can verify that they are correct.

I do not add census info in the bio section.

I have written a book on those interred in MVUC and it will be available soon. I did research on those in MVUC, and it took me close to 15 years to finish it because I wanted to make sure it was as accurate as possible.
