Bio
My mother has passed on a love of genealogy to me. Find-a-grave has become a sort of addiction, in that I love to make the verified family links, and see the pictures of the headstones, read the stories/obituaries, etc.
Some of my family names are: Wright, Ames, Eames, Harris, Smith, Dew, James, Markesteyn, Meeuwissen, Fender, Harrell, Roelofs, Van Dulst, Wood, Royal, Burke, Beardall, Packard, Normington, Jonsson, Gabbitass, Ross, Callahan, Ruby, Haskell, Christensen, King, Chase, Knowlton, Eaton, Randall, Chapin, McDonald, Spell, Manning, Campbell, Barton, Slade, Bent, Hobby, Preston, Williams, Bruce, Grigg, Roberts, and Chidester. There are many, many more as well.
For the most part, every memorial I manage is either directly related to me, or directly related to my relatives (by marriage, etc.)
****When I request an update to a memorial I also give the option to transfer management. Not because of numbers, but more out of necessity. I have begun the project of connecting all of my family members by headstone/memorial to help me verify, names, dates, etc. All of the updates I request I can verify with other documents, or have personal knowledge of. I spend hours each week working on the details.
Of the 600+ memorials that I manage I can trace my relations to all but 2 or 3... and of those 2 or 3... they were close personal friends, who are not related, but whom I take care of online out of respect.
