My birth name is Gloria Jean Woods, and I was born in Jacksonville, Florida on Aug. 27, 1940. My sisters, fraternal twins, completed our family three years later.

Our parents, Lonzy H. and Thelma G. Saunders Woods came from north Florida farm families, natives for several generations. All from my parents' generation are deceased, as well as several first cousins.

Since my retirement from a state job, I have become interested in our family history, and find this site most helpful and informative.
