I have been doing family history since my mother died in 1975. I have really enjoyed getting to know my people - who they are, their sorrows, and their joys and how so many of them survived the hardships they faced each day. How they buried so many of their precious 'little ones' and the heartache they must have felt as they watched 'one more' being laid to rest. I have learned to love each one of them as I've put their stories together.
I found that I love to visit cemeteries, that I find peace and solace there. Each cemetery I've visited has been unique, beautiful in its own way and very sacred.
I'm excited about the Find A Grave website and really enjoy helping others. If you would like me to transfer any memorials I have created, I will be happy to do so, if they aren't related to me.
