I was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, which, as a Captain of mine used to joke, is the only "island" surrounded by land on three sides.
After nearly 11 years in the military, my wife and I settled in Moberly, Missouri where I have worked for the State of Missouri for 24 years.
I love walking through the local cemeteries and finding markers such as this one, which was for a young child. It helps me remember how blessed I am and how precious life is.
