I guess I cannot say "I am relatively new to genealogy and very new to 'Find A Grave'" anymore but, given what I have seen related to other contributors, I still feel like I have a great deal yet to learn.

I am an auditor by profession. Genealogy is just a type of auditing, because you are constantly challenging names, dates, locations, family connections, etc. I love the mystery of it and the excitement when the "bits and pieces" come together. There is a lot of misinformation out there and, as someone who focuses on "due diligence," that is a frustration. However, I have learned I cannot and should not try to fix the work of others. I concentrate on my memorials and, when I have sources to support incorrect details, I share those with the memorial owner.

Please know I always appreciate a "second set of eyes" when it comes to memorial I have created or manage. Working together we can all have the most complete and accurate memorials possible. That is the very best way to honor all who came before us and made us who we are. It is also a gift to future generations.
