We first found Find-A-Grave while doing genealogy research. This is still our main focus, as we are far from done following our family lines! Many of Julie's lines are Dutch, as you might guess from our picture. She also has roots in Ireland and England. Tom's line is almost exclusively Polish, though the same areas were alternately conquered by Germany, Russia, etc., and so the nationality question is complicated!

We have also come to appreciate the artistry and history of cemeteries, and love to come upon markers that show the personalities of the people interred. Graves are not just names and dates...they are a bridge between the past and the present, and a place for loved ones to express their feelings and memories.
