Hello! All photos I post of grave markers were taken by me. I give permission for anyone to use these photos. Nothing makes me happier than to see something I added be utilized in a family tree. My primary focus in photographing cemeteries is to index all cemetery residents with approximate gps location, which leads me to prioritize the quantity of photos taken. This can lead to photos of muddy or debris covered markers. If you notice a better photo has been added to the memorial, or add one yourself, let me know and I'll delete my old one.

I have not yet denied a transfer request. It makes me happy to know a memorial will be going to someone who will care for it. If you wish to manage a memorial, please just ask, and say why you want to manage it.

Current Indexing Project:

Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. I began photographing it in 2024. This cemetery is not in the best condition and most markers are partially buried. Even markers less than 15 years old have begun to sink. 100% of the graves are a flat marker. Oftentimes I go after it has rained, because then the dirt will sometimes lift away from the edges and make names or dates more visible. Most people are buried in order (for example rows for August 1984 with every person passing just a few days apart) with very few family lots. I started noting what section and row I am photographing to aid future identification. I am aware the markers are not in the best of shape and are often partially buried or mud covered, however I do not have proper training to clean them and do not wish to risk damaging them. If you take a better photo I will happily delete mine if asked. The cemetery will unearth/clean a marker if asked, but I cannot request this for everyone. I do not want to wear out my welcome with frequent cemetery calls, so sometimes I make inferences for the identity of a marker that is mostly buried, and skip any that are too far buried to identify. When I first started photographing this cemetery there were only 3,472 memorials with 18% photographed. I estimate there to be 20,000 plus interments here. If anyone local is interested in helping photograph this historically African American Cemetery, I would greatly appreciate the help.

Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg - complete with help of fellow volunteers (Soaringhigh, 51443167, and "Me", 49877597) in 2023. We divided up the map into sections and had a lot of fun working on it together.

Locust Grove in Twinsburg - reviewed to add gps 2023 (photos were already done)

Bedford Cemetery, Bedford - complete 2024

Zion Memorial Park Cemetery, Bedford Heights - Complete 2024. Only added gps for memorials 2023 or later that had temporary metal stake markers or were veiled. This cemetery was already mostly complete on Billiongraves.

If you see I have added a portrait to a memorial, it will say under the portrait where I got it and whether or not you have my permission to repost. Giving me credit is appreciated, primarily because I may have similar photos and it's useful for people tracking down their tree.

I really work hard not to spread misinformation, so let me know if you think anything I have is incorrect. I do my best to ensure all edits I submit have the sources to back them up, but of course I am not infallible. I'm happy to discuss edits so that we have the most accurate memorials possible.
