Over time Find A Grave has evolved from documenting the location of our ancestors' graves sites, many taking years of research to find, to merely using invalidated material gleaned from similar websites, often also owned or formerly owned by ancestry and listing names with no clue as to the location of the deceased. We can however see ads for diapers on the grave of a day old child or get a good deal on a cruise vacation on the memorial of a teenage soldier that lost his life in brutal battle. The dignity and integrity of Find A Grave, self said to be "the world's largest gravesite collection", which indeed it once was, has been sorely compromised. Please don't rely solely on this site for your research. Anybody is now allowed to put anything on here and can be changed without the knowledge of the moderator. Perhaps the site should be renamed Look For Any Name You Want But We Don't Really Know Where They Are Buried. Maybe it's not catchy but a few of us are clinging to a few memorials we don't want to be desecrated. Nobody is flying this plane. Just saying ............ but you can order flowers when there is no known burial site. .......... Just saying.
