I retired a few years ago and am researching the memorials I have amassed that are "Burial Unknown". I have realized that Burials Unknown don't help anyone. So, I apply for death certificates if that is the only way to get the answers about where the people are buried.

I try extremely hard to "Find" what happened to the ancestors and help others in their searches by putting all of the facts that I glean from sources and documents on memorials or send a email to the administrators with these facts.

My husband suspects that I spend a considerable amount of money in this research - if he only knew! But, if I can find out information and share it, that makes me feel good.

Hopefully, there are enough understanding and nice people out there who appreciate this effort and expenditure - for people I don't really know. If not, I will, I am sure get emails from those who don't appreciate it - I am sure.
