Have had an interest in family history for many years. Researching as often and as much as I can. I love to find and go to the cemeteries where my ancestors are buried. I always have camera at hand to take photos of any graves with common last names. I love to research how they lived and their surroundings and LOVE old photographs of them so you can put face to name and the surroundings in the photos can give lots of clues.

My research includes:

Paternal side: descendant of Rakes/Raikes/Evans/Albertson and Noel families of Marion County Ky.

Maternal side: descendant of Black/Shepherd/Cooper family of Tennessee and Whitley and McCreary Co. in Ky. Hillard/Hellard/Helard families of Washington and Boyle County Ky. I also research extended families as well.

Member of the Logan-Whitley chapter DAR with one of my patriots Peter Evans who fought for our freedom and so many others.

I am married with two adult children. I am retired.

I live in Boyle County and am fairly close to most of the areas where my ancestors lived so it isn't but a day's trip to most things for me which is wonderful.
