I was introduced to Findagrave when a good friend asked if I would like her to create memorials for my parents and sister. I loved this idea so much that I became a member. Shortly thereafter, I took over my sister's geneaology research and began to upload what she had gathered on our mother's side to Ancestry.com. My aunt had also spent years gathering information on my father's side, so I have put her information on Ancestry, too.
I am touched by the work gravers do on behalf of countless strangers, and am so grateful when I find memorials for my beloved relatives and friends.
I love this way of honoring their memories and being able to share photos of them so that future generations will be able to find them and have a better sense of the people they were here on Earth. I am also hopeful that they themselves know that I am thinking of them, missing them, and hoping to see them again in Heaven one day.
